He nods and grins pointing to the large ruby, a couple of the knives, and one of the necklaces. “Uh-huh! These here,” he plucks up what he pointed at and places the items neatly to the side, next to everything else. Immediately afterward, he stands up, motions for Dave to sit there, and flies off to his cave.
Once there, he grabs his bag, fills with with a few things that he wants to trade, and flies back to Dave smiling and cawing before landing. After taking out all of the items, he places them onto a clear patch of ground to show them off.
There are several items there: several different sized birds, a freshly-killed lobster, about 10 fresh clams, assorted fruits (some sitrus, some berries) and some honey that he had managed to put into a jar that he’d found and cleaned. He found that sea salt enhanced the sweetness of the sweet treat greatly and at the same time tickled the tastebuds with a faint hint of salt. This is what he wanted to trade the most.
Chirping, he takes the top of the jar and offers for Dave to have a taste. “Try some! It’s great.”
